Stib needs your help to test new mobile app

09:53 03/03/2020

Brussels public transport operator Stib is looking for 2,000 volunteers to test out its new mobile app.

The app, called MaaS (mobility as a service) is not due to go public until the end of next year.

It will offer a more intelligent journey planner, combining multiple forms of transport including taxis and shared bicycles and scooters.

The 2,000 testers will be selected to ensure a broad range of profiles - including different ages, postcodes, family compositions and transport habits.

"This test will allow us to analyse people's mobility behaviour - whether they are willing to test new forms of transport and/or use their cars less - and how budget-conscious they are," Stib said.

"It will also give us a precise view of how the app works - the usability, flow and data exchange between different transport operators."

Applications are open on this website. Those selected will be notified in late March and the pilot scheme will begin in late April or early May.
