Three in 10 Brussels speed cameras don't work

Out of 95 fixed speed radars on roads around Brussels, only 68 are working. According to Brussels Mobility, the remaining 27 are not working due to degraded road surfacing, where the sensors are located.

Inside the city, only five out of eleven of the radars are working. 

The Brussels secretary of state for road safety, Bianca Debaets, insists that by the end of the Easter holiday, 24 of the 27 damaged speed cameras will be fixed.

The remaining ones will be repaired by the summer holidays. Those that cannot be fixed will be replaced by new ones.
