Brussels to host country’s first drone fair

The first Belgian fair devoted to the use of remote piloted aircraft systems, commonly known as drones, will be held from 7 to 9 March at Tour & Taxis in Brussels. Organisers hope the Drone Days fair will be a place where all professionals in the sector can meet and exchange experiences.

The fair is the result of a collaboration between EspaceDrone, the Belgian training centre for the remote-controlling of drones, and the photography fair Imaging Days, whose involvement highlights the increasing using of drones by organisations in the audiovisual sector.

The fair will host about 20 exhibitors and should attract between 6,000 and 8,000 people, organisers said. Visitors can see flight demonstrations and meet sales representatives, manufacturers, instructors at training centres and other professionals from the sector.

On 9 March, the fair is exclusively for professionals, and the General Directorate of Civil Aviation will give a presentation in the presence of a member of the European Commission.
