Brussels enjoys another successful Car-Free Sunday
Editors from the Brussels media platform Bruzz on Sunday cycled from Molenbeek to Ixelles, in the centre of Brussels, to document the city's 14th Car-Free Sunday with a photo report. The most common opinion they heard from participants in the annual event is "it should happen more often".
The Bruzz reporters cycled along the 2.5km-long Kidz on Wheelz festival for children which ran between Porte de Ninove and Sainctelette. They witnessed crowds of cyclists touring the capital on numerous organised bike tours.
The central boulevards were jammed with cyclists, according to Bruzz. Nearly everyone they interviewed said, “The city should organise this more often.”
The photo report moves on to Flagey in Ixelles, where the youngest visitors were enjoying the car-free day on two wheels, especially in front of the sunny terrace at Café Belga.
