Belgium's richest football players, according to Forbes

14:18 05/06/2017

Belgium's top footballers are not paid nearly as much as world stars Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi, who have €78.7 million and €72.8 million, respectively, in their bank accounts, according to Forbes. But the Belgian players also fare well, writes the business magazine in an article which reveals the country's five wealthiest players:

Eden Hazard: €58 million
Marouane Fellaini: €44 million
Vincent Kompany: €41 million
Kevin De Bruyne: €34 million
Thomas Vermaelen: €27 million

With his €58 million in the bank, attacking midfielder Eden Hazard (pictured) is the 12th richest football player in the world.

Well yes, and the special 20 percent income tax rate does them no harm either. While the multinational relocate to Prague, the footballers are kept here with a special tax regime so the mindless masses don't get to see the exodus. Scandalous.
