Belgium’s most popular celebrity search term is… Kardashian

Internet giant Google has announced the most popular search terms of 2014. In Belgium, the most popular search term was Facebook, followed by YouTube, Hotmail, Google and HLN.

When it came to celebrities, Kim Kardashian turned out to be the Belgians' most popular choice, followed by Jeroen Meus, Stromae, Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus.

Looking at the most popular search terms for events, 2014 was mainly dominated by death and football, according to Google. World Cup was the number one searched event, followed by Forumula 1 driver Michael Schumacher's ski accident and the leaked naked photos of actor Jennifer Lawrence.

In the list of most searched deceased celebrities in Belgium, actor Robin Williams was at the top, while Gorki frontman Luc De Vos was in third place.
