What do you do?
In 2006 I started up my own company called Gero Technics. We provide technical support for smaller businesses.

Do you enjoy the work?
Yes, I love my job. Every day brings a new challenge, with new problems surfacing on industrial machines that need to be resolved.

What do you think of the pay?
I certainly can’t complain about my net monthly salary of +/- €1,500. Of course I would like to earn more. But then again, is that really necessary?

How many hours do you work a week?
I work around 45 hours a week. That also includes the occasional night and weekend work at a client’s request.

Do you manage to put money aside?
Yes, but how much that is exactly month-by-month only my wife could tell you. (laughs)

What do you not like spending money on?
A new mobile phone, television, computer… why should I buy a new mobile phone if my own works just fine?

What do you like to spend money on?
On relaxing and eating out at a nice restaurant. Also a weekend getaway would be worth the splurge.

What would you do if you won the lottery?
I would make sure that my kids had everything they needed to be happy now and in the future.
