VUB mural honours late rector Caroline Pauwels

A mural of VUB’s late honorary rector Caroline Pauwels has appeared on a graffiti wall at the university campus in Etterbeek.

"Rest in peace, honorary rector," reads the caption accompanying the fresco.

The free wall is open to graffiti artists to share their creativity. This latest work was published on VUB sport’s Facebook page and then shared by the university.

Pauwels, the university’s deeply-respected honorary rector died earlier this month after a long battle with cancer.
