Twelve Belgian beers in World’s 100 Best Beers list
Twelve Belgian beers appear in the list of the hundred best beers in the world for 2015, compiled by the international beer website RateBeer. Belgian beers have secured two extra places in the top 100 since the 2013 list. The beers are presented in alphabetical order and Westvleteren 12, which has been selected as best beer in the world for two years running, looks like a likely contender for the title again.
Other beers in the list are 3 Fonteinen Hommage, Cantillon Lou Pepe Pure Kriek, Rochefort Trappistes 10, Rochefort Trappistes 8, Rodenbach Caractère Rouge, St Bernardus Abt 12, Struise Black Albert, Struise Pannepot, Struise Pannepot Grand Reserva, Struise Pannepot Reserva, and Westvleteren Extra 8.
American beers feature heavily in the list and other countries that also get a look-in include Canada (3), Denmark (3), the Netherlands (2) and the UK (1).
