Summer is not over yet: 30°C forecast next week

10:21 09/09/2020

Septembers in Belgium are often warm and sunny - and this coming week is set to prove that, with temperatures forecast to reach 30°C.

The Royal Meteorological Institute says an area of high pressure, with dry and warm air, will cross Belgium for about seven days from Sunday.

Until then, we are due most cloudy skies in Brussels, with the occasional sunny spell on Saturday, and daytime temperatures around the 21°C mark.

The weather will start to improve on Sunday, which will be dry and sunny with highs of 22°C.

By Monday, the temperature is forecast to rise to 28°C in the capital and 31°C on Tuesday, which is expected to be the hottest day.

We should still see sunshine and temperatures in the mid-20s for the remainder of next week, according to the RMI's latest forecast.
