Stib seeks more than 900 new recruits
Looking for a new job? Brussels public transport operator Stib has announced it is looking to hire 922 staff this year - and applications are now open.
The recruitment plan includes posts for 528 bus drivers, 126 tram drivers and 41 metro drivers. Administrative, maintenance and security roles are also available.
About half of the vacancies have come about to replace staff who have retired or otherwise left the company.
But 459 positions are new openings, which have arisen because the Brussels public transport network is growing. Tram line 9 entered service last year and will soon be extended to Heysel. New bus and tram routes are also being created.
If you'd like to try driving a bus before you apply, download the Stib's Simbus app. Players with the best scores will win a prize this month.
