STIB calls for metro memories on 40th anniversary

The Brussels public transport company STIB celebrates 40 years of service next month with a flurry of artistic events in 15 stations, writes Bruzz. The first metro drove through Brussels on 20 September, 1976, when there were only a handful of metro stations on a single line.

The STIB celebration coincides with Mobility Week (16-22 September). In preparation for the week, STIB has launched a request for users to share their Brussels metro memories, photos and videos on an interactive timeline that will be available from Tuesday.
