SNCB's Jo Cornu remains as CEO until successor is found

16:32 30/08/2016

The firm Odgers Berndtson has been commissioned to find a successor for the CEO of Belgian rail company SNCB, Jo Cornu, reports federal mobility minister François Bellot. Cornu affirms that he will continue to do his job for the duration of the selection procedure.

While Cornu (pictured) resigned in May with a notice period of three months, it was always unlikely that he would be able to leave the company on 31 August, as the process to find a successor by that date will not yet be completed.

Shortly after Cornu resigned, SNCB launched a public procurement procedure to appoint a headhunter in charge of finding his replacement. On Monday, the contract was awarded to Odgers Berndtson, which now has a period of four weeks to submit a list of suitable candidates to Minister Bellot.
