Saint-Gilles cat café is looking for a buyer

13:09 04/05/2017

Le Chat Touille, a café in the Brussels commune of Saint-Gilles where visitors can pet and adopt cats, is looking for a buyer, reports Bruzz. Owner Monika Jurczykowska is expecting a child, and will therefore have to leave the café for health reasons.

The café opened in 2014 in Rue Tasson-Snel after Jurczykowska, who previously worked as a volunteer in an animal shelter, decided to combine a café and shelter for cats. Le Chat Touille is popular with cat lovers in Brussels and has a number of regular customers. "All cats are sterilised and vaccinated," says Jurczykowska in La Dernière Heure.

The owner assures that the café is not closing. "I will continue working until the end of June, and there are already two candidates to take over the café," she says.
