Record number of visitors to Museum Night Fever

12:04 09/03/2015

The eighth edition of Museum Night Fever brought nearly 17,000 people to the Brussels event, the most successful edition to date, according to the organisers. The event attracted a decidedly young crowd, with three-quarters of the visitors younger than 35, reports brusselnieuws.be.

For the event, 23 museums across Brussels stayed open between 19.00 and 1.00, not only for the opportunity to look at their collections and exhibitions, but also for numerous concerts, performances, film screenings and other special activities. As every year, Museum Night Fever closed out with an after-party in Brussels' old casino.

Last year there were 15,500 tickets sold for the event. The capacity was increased for this eighth edition, which attracted nearly 17,000 visitors, a record high.

Bozar was again the biggest attraction with 10,500 visitors, followed by the Bellevue Museum with more than 9,700 visitors, the Museum of Fantastic Art (1,650), Coudenberg and De Munt (4,500), Choco-Story (1,200) and the Jewish Museum (740).
