Osteopath needed in Ixelles or around - recommendations?
Hi there, can anyone recommend a very good English-speaking osteopath in Ixelles or around? (Etterbeck would also be okay). It's for back pain caused by muscle spasms / knots so perhaps a physiotherapist would also be appropriate. I have only used osteopaths in the past. What is the typical rate? I have seen one that charges €100 for one hour, which seems like a lot. Thanks in advance. Paula Dear
I cannot help with exactly what you are looking for as I don't live anywhere near there.
However, from my own experience, I can tell you that you will get a higher refund from your mutuelle if you are referred to a specialist osteopath or physiotherapist by your family doctor. And you doctor should also be able to give you some idea of how much you can expect to pay.
Hi you can get a certain number of session reimbursed per year usually. I know not the area where you asking but I'd highly recommend the group in Tervuren which is possible to access via tram and a short walk. Also possible to park outside on public parking in the area. They all speak excellent English will fit you In Faster in an emergency last time I went it was €80 and I got most of it back

Also you don't need a doctor referal to ask the money back or to attend
I can recommend Mr Taheri, Kinésithérapeute
Franklin Rooseveltlaan 143, 1050 Brussel
Phone: 02 346 65 45
He is very good but expensive - 50 euro for 30min treatment.
However I had the same back problem as you and one visit was enough to solve it.
Dr. Neil Ingram is my go-to! He has a practice that is in Etterbeek AND you can book online. http://www.brusselsosteopath.be
Pricing is on the website (55€ per session). Quite easy to get to - walking distance from Merode and/or Montgomery metro stops.
Good luck!
Hi
You should still be able to make a claim for treatment, even without a doctors prescription. I certainly can.
Heather Tinnin http://en.holisticosteo.be in La Hulpe if you can get there. She is without doubt the best Osteo I have used over the years and is also an expert with muscles. Have used Chris Ruddick and really wasn't impressed.
If she can't help then Tom Bailey might be an option. http://www.brusselsphysio.be
Both Heather and Tom trained in sports massage before qualifying in their respective fields and if you have muscle problems then that's what you need.
I used Philippe de Waele in Etterbeek. Physio and osteo and easy to get to from Merode or park in Carrefour parking.
I had problems with my back ( satellite dish installer ) and Mr. Taheri saved my career...
