'Night council' to discuss future of Brussels nightlife

10:15 15/01/2020

A new committee is being set up with the aim of better managing Brussels' nightlife - and resolving problems and conflicts that arise.

The Brussels region will bring together representatives from catering, retail and culture to sit on the "night council".

The council will be chaired by tourism agency Visit.brussels, which will set the agenda and organise the meetings, with the first one due in April.

One of the night council's first tasks will be to draw up and carry out a survey on Brussels nightlife.

Participants will be asked their opinions on what the city has to offer - and to identify problems such as noise nuisance, drug use and public transport issues.
