Since the beginning of July, a Meta Fusion turret traffic radar has been tested by the federal police on the E411, near the Beez viaduct east of Namur, in the direction of Brussels.

If the test phase is successful, this will be the first of this type of traffic control radar to be deployed in Belgium.

This radar would not be used to flash speeding cars, but to check the safety distance between trucks. They are obliged to respect a distance of 50metres  between each vehicle.

In France, this radar is already deployed and makes it possible to analyse 32 vehicles spread over eight lanes simultaneously.
