Living in Overijse

Question

We are considering buying property in Overijse. However we have been worrying about traffic (going to Zaventem in the morning and coming back in the late afternoon). Any one living in Overijse that could tell us how it looks from practical point of view? Would you look for other place to live?
Thanks in advance.

Spinbru, thanks a lot for your reply.
My kids are about to start the maternelle, so we have some time until teenage time, but I am prepared for the second job as a kids' driver already. I think it's better to live in a quite neighbourhood and they are bored and relying on me, than going on their own around Brussels by public transport.
We will sign the compromis for the house in Overijse next week, so it is what it is. :)

Welcome to Overijse Mik123!

You'll get used very quickly to having peace and quiet whenever you want. And lots of space!

Don't worry about the traffic, preferably try to leave around 07.00 on Mondays and Thursdays. For the other working days it's much better and there are lots of back roads almost nobody knows about ;)
Hope these tips help you instal quicker.

Due to work requirements abroad, me and my wife will have to leave Overijse. Pity you already got a house there as I'm selling mine in the small ads. You'd might like it and the its location.
Cheers!
