Graspop metal festival delayed due to heavy rain
The Graspop metal festival has been delayed due to persistent rain that is expected on Thursday.
The rain, coming after an already very rainy Tuesday, has prompted organisers to enact an emergency plan.
No car parks will be open all weekend long and programmed performances yesterday (including the Boneyard Pre-party organised by Studio Brussel) were cancelled.
Those who need to stay overnight are advised to try to reach the Inferno campsite by public transport, the organisers said, stressing that they are closely monitoring the situation.
“The programme for the other days of the festival will not be compromised,” they said.
The sold-out metal festival in Dessel is set to run from Thursday 20 June to Sunday 23 June. Its headliners include Tool, Judas Priest, Bring Me The Horizon and Scorpions, among others.
