Goedele Liekens to teach sex education in UK

10:42 01/09/2014

British television Channel 4 has asked Belgian sex expert Goedele Liekens to lead a new television programme on sexual education called Sex in Class, writes the Guardian on its website.

The Belgian television celebrity, who recently worked on a similar programme on Dutch television channel RTL 4, has now been hired by the British Channel 4 to talk to youngsters about sex in a modern way. According to Liam Humphreys of Channel 4, Liekens is the perfect person for the job.

In an interview with the Guardian, Liekens said that sex education in British schools was "hopelessly outdated”. According to the sexologist, “The subject should be adapated to modern times and taught in a clear, understandable way from a young age.” The UK is, in Liekens’ opinion, far too prudish when it comes to sex education.

The programme will follow Liekens as she visits classrooms across the UK to work with 15- and 16-year-olds.

"Hopelessly outdated" ? Sounds more like taking coals to Newcastle, and the stupid git searching for inspiration for her books and magazines, earning bags of money into the bargain! Pathetic!
