Flemish Brabant launches new campaign for Dutch learners
The Belgian province of Flemish Brabant on Tuesday launched a new campaign under an old motto: 'Nederlands leren, simple comme bonjour; Nederlands leren, a piece of cake'. The aim of the renewed initiative is to encourage more residents in the Flemish periphery of Brussels to learn Dutch, reports De Standaard.
The province is distributing flyers with information about Dutch language courses offered not only in Halle-Vilvoorde and the municipalities of Bertem, Tervuren, Kortenberg and Huldenberg, but now also in Tienen, Landen, Diest and Aarschot. Prospective learners can obtain additional information from the website of the House of Dutch Flemish Brabant and the free phone number 0800 123 00.
The campaign includes advertising on 38 provincial buses over the next two weeks, 1,000 posters in town halls, social services, libraries and job centres across the province and 1,000 bike seat covers, among other gadgets.
