British school shortlisted as best international school
The British School of Brussels (BSB) in Tervuren has been shortlisted for an award by the Independent School Awards in the category British International School of the Year.
The Awards are administered by Funding for Independent Schools magazine, and given in 12 categories by an independent panel of judges.
“I am so pleased, as you can imagine, particularly as the project that inspired this nomination is our bilingual programme; it is a real testament to the vision and dedication of a great team who have led this work over recent years, with great support from the Governors,” school principal Sue Woodroofe said. “Even if we don't win, just to have been shortlisted is such an encouragement for all the great work that is happening at BSB.”
Also shortlisted are Christ’s College, a traditional boys’ school in Christchurch, New Zealand, and The International School in Bangalore in India. The winners will be announced in Nottingham on 14 November, presented by journalist and former Beirut hostage John McCarthy.
