Popular community retailer Stonemanor has been forced to close its stores in Everberg and Sint-Genesius-Rode this weekend following a disruption in its supply chain.

With the grocer unable to confirm the delivery of its next truck – held up by Brexit paperwork – the Everberg store will be closed from 6 to 8 February and the Sint-Genesius-Rode outlet on 6 and 7 February.

Stonemanor delivers up to 20,000 food products and other items from its Norfolk warehouse in the UK. It has been serving expats and fans of British food specialities since 1982.

But the store confirmed on its Facebook page on Tuesday that fresh supplies of pork sausages, bacon and black and white pudding had been sourced from a butcher in Ireland and would be available next week.

In the same post, it thanked customers for their patience and promised to keep them updated.
