Bpost launches overnight delivery service for businesses

Bpost has announced the launch of a night-time delivery solution aimed at certain types of professionals, particularly technicians, nurses and mechanics who start their working days in the early hours of the morning.

Bpost will collect parcels until 18.00, which will then be sorted overnight and distributed to Bpost parcel dispensers (Bbox) so that they can be collected from 7.00 the following morning.

It will also offer delivery directly to a construction site or to the vans of the workers concerned.

“Night delivery responds to the specific needs of professionals who are on the road,” the postal company announced.

“Whether they’re IT technicians, home nurses who start their rounds before dawn, or car mechanics waiting for a part to get a vehicle back on the road, they all have the same need: the right equipment, in the right place, as early as possible in the morning.”

Bpost said that the service had two unique advantages: a dense network of Bbox machines that eliminates the need to travel to a depot or other stopover; and the fact that it is specifically designed for technical professions, meaning compatibility with professional tools and time slots that are tailored to the field.

The launch of the service comes after two successful pilots.
