Bowie memorial draws 200 fans to Brussels' Grand Place

14:18 12/01/2016

About 200 people gathered on Brussels' Grand Place on Monday evening in a tribute to the deceased pop icon David Bowie. The event was an initiative of Brussels tourism minister Philippe Close, himself a huge fan of the British music legend, writes Brusselnieuws.

The tribute featured a series of Bowie classics played over the loudspeakers of the scenic Grand Place, while a light show lit up the facade of City Hall. Despite the rain, the Bowie fans danced, and erupted in loud applause after each song.

DH.be posted several videos of the event to their news website.
