Bomb alert at Braine-l'Alleud station hinders traffic

10:00 31/07/2013
Train traffic on line 124 between Brussels South and Charleroi South was shut down shortly this morning at 7:10 after a bomb threat at the station of Braine-l'Alleud, according to a statement on railtime.be which has since been confirmed by a spokesman for rail manager Infrabel.

An anonymous phone call at 6.00 to the 101 emergency services warned that a bomb would go off in the train station of Braine-l'Alleud. The police took no chances and cleared the station immediately to set up a security perimeter. The building was then searched, but there was no suspicious package found. The train line resumed normal service around 8.30.
