Belgian duo Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike crowned world's best DJs
The best DJs in the world are Belgian - according to a global poll of more than a million music-lovers.
Flemish-Greek duo Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike were crowned number one in the world at the DJ Mag Top 100 ceremony during this week's Amsterdam Music Festival.
The brothers from Willebroek - real names Dimitri and Michael Thivaios - first appeared in the ranking in 79th place in 2011 and entered the top 10 two years later.
They regain the number one title, which they first won in 2015, having lost out to Dutch DJ Martin Garrix for the past three consecutive years. In 2016, the pair made it on to Forbes' top 10 list of the world's highest-paid DJs.
"I was caught off guard with the news that we’re number one again," said Vegas. "For us it was unreal, it was a big surprise, to be honest. We’re super-happy."
