Beggar in front of bank

I expect to be flamed for this, so go ahead
There is a beggar who always stands by the door of my bank. He opens the door for anybody who comes and leaves and obviously expect some money in return for this. This might not sound very humanitarian, but it really bothers me. I can open the door by myself perfectly and I find it to be a kind of black mail. I don't give him any money, but his constant presence bothers me. I find it like a kind of black mailing and his presence everytime I need to take out some cash makes me feel uneasy.
My question is, why does the bank not intervene? Surely they must know that it bothers their customers that a beggar constantly bothers their customers.
Give him a euro! It'll make you feel good! At least he's doing something useful.

This also happens to me in some 5 star hotels. Valets in uniform storm to the door to open it for me. Abusive. ;-)
Anonymous - How do you suggest getting bank notes from the internet?
I get really irriated by the ones who limp round cars at traffic lights wafting a cup, i always wonder how much they make. I choose to gift to charities not people who may or may not be in need. Just smile and thank them never tip people who are just trying to pressure you fortunately they dont come to my bank.
Give him money! If only, just to see his reaction. (If he makes a tonne, he might go away :-))))
