Fix My Street, the application that allows you to report problems in Brussels public spaces, may have started off slowly when it was launched in 2013 - but recent figures show that the app is now going from strength to strength.

Results from 2021 were released at the end of last week showing that 75,784 incidents were reported last year, of which 83.94% were resolved.

There has also been an increase in the number of users. "In 2021, 8,629 users reported 75,784 defects in the public space, an increase of 23.03% in the number of users and 7.59% in the number of reports,” Brussels Mobility, the department responsible, said in its statement.

“Each user reports an average of 2.8 incidents. The reports were made by a proportion of 73% first users. The application (available on IOS or Android) was downloaded 5,644 times in 2021."

Among the most represented reports submitted are those referring to public cleanliness (56.1%), roads (18.63%), signage (8.46%) and street furniture (8.06%).

Since 2021, a new feature on the app makes it possible to report problems related to the needs of people with reduced mobility.

In eight years, Fix My Street has solved 338,385 incidents or defects on public roads, said Brussels Mobility.
