16,000 visitors for Museum Night Fever

22:47 06/03/2016

The ninth edition of Museum Night Fever on Saturday drew about 16,000 people to museums across Brussels, slightly fewer than last year's edition with 17,000 visitors. The late night openings in 24 participating museums led to a total of 45,000 museum visits, according to Brusselnieuws.

Museum Night Fever (MNF) is as successful as ever, managing to attract more young people to Brussels museums every year. Of the 16,000 visitors this year, 75% were under the age of 35, the organisation announced in a press release.

During MNF, museums remain open until 1.00, and provide special entertainment in the form of concerts and performances. Even the buses shuttling passengers between the museums were the site of several performances.

Visitors to MNF on Saturday have until the end of March to exchange their ticket for a free visit to one of the participating museums.
