Zipper replacement
I just bought a pair of pretty expensive leather knew high boots. A friend tried them on and the zipper on one came apart in the middle. We managed to get it off her without breaking it. I put it all back together and tried it on and it came apart again. I guess I need to get both the zippers replaced? Anyone know anywhere good? I want to stitch work to be good since these are really nice boots. Just bad luck with the zipper. Can't take it back to the shop as bought in the US.
Had a similar problem couple of years back and needed to replace zipper on boot. Tried 2 places, one on the ground floor of the Woluwe shopping center and the other at Stockel in the mall across the way from what used to be a handbag shop (now candy store). Both asked 50euro/zipper/boot.

There is a great shoe repair guy just off the Place Jourdan. I am sorry I don't know the name of the street or the shop but stand with your back to the Maison Antoine frites stall and then go down the pedestrian street which is off to your right.
Shoe repair is about half way down on the right (just a short street) - he is great and am sure he will do a good job.
I got mine done at a place next to Delhaize in Overijse he charged 1euro per cm, he gave me a deal to do both of a pair because one went and the other was looking dodgy. It cost me a lot but I liked the boots
