winter sale date in Holland--before or after Christmas

Would you like to tell me the starting date for Christmas season, after Dec 25 or before Dec 25 in Holland. I found it is much more different in Holland than other countries.

Sales start in late January/early February in the Netherlands. There is some pre-Christmas discounting going on but not much.
