Where to order sacks of "terreau" and seed compost etc for home delivery?

Question

I've just looked on the Brico website and it would appear that they don't deliver sacks of compost or earth for plant pots any more.

Does anyone know of a reliable gardening company that does this please, for home delivery to an address in Etterbeek, Brussels 1040?

Sticking 'livraison de terreau à domicile' into google.be will be all you need to do. Central Jardin are normally reliable.

Thanks NethenBob. You would think it would be that simple but I haven't in reality found it to be so.

Found three potential sites (including Bakker) which deliver plants and greenhouses etc but no terreau.

And although the Central website says it delivers, when you go through the buying process on line, you are presented with two options as to whether you collect purchases from (a) their shop in Rosières or (b) their shop in
Genappe. I have e-mailed them but haven't had a reply as yet.

Why is getting potting compost/earth delivered so difficult I wonder? There are a million shops in the UK which happily offer this service.

What do you want? I'll pick it up and deliver it to you for free as I feel for you. Out here we have lots of compost shops and I'm in and around Etterbeek on Friday. bob(at)deliciouslydifferent.be

That's really kind of you!! I will wait to hear back from Central first (as to be fair, the owner was very helpful when I followed my e-mail up with a phone call this morning) but will definitely be in touch if nothing comes of it.

Just to let you know 'Nethenbob' and anyone else who is interested, Central Jardin (website below) came through in the end and after an exchange of e-mails delivered the goods very promptly and efficiently this morning. Will definitely be going to them in future for all gardening equipment and materials!
