Hello,

I caught the curb while driving and now have a dent in the rim ofmy front left tyre. Does anyone know if this can be repaired or do i need to replace the whole rim.

Thank you

Denting the rim can weaken it. Banging it back into shape will weaken it further.
You cannot replace the rim, it has to be the whole wheel.
What you do has to depend on the extent to which the wheel is damaged but, so long as the tyre retains its pressure, there is probably no need for wheel replacement. However an easy solution is to change the dented wheel for the spare - assuming that you car has one. You may need to get the actual tyres changed if your spare is worn and you may also need to get the wheels balanced if, for example, you find that the car now pulls to one side.

In my experience, it was cheaper to get replacement wheels on kapaza/ebay or where ever.
