For many years, before we downsized our Christmas meal, we bought our bird from the poulterers Lienard in rue Washington, close to Bailli/Louise. Super quality, super friendly, order in advance and pick up farm-fresh* on Christmas Eve. I guess they are still there.

* I remember Madame proudly telling me as I picked up my turkey ‘it was running around at 4 this morning’. I didn’t need to know that.

I'll check them out. Thanks! I've heard that it is too late to order a turkey from Jack O'Shea's.

They are obviously still there because they have a website, limited but up to date
http://www.maisonlienard.com/index.html
If you give them a write-up, an interesting snippet is that Madame is South American (Colombian I think) she used to have a loyal Spanish-speaking customer base.
And their sandwiches of pain de poulet, fresh from the oven on Tuesday and Thursday lunchtimes. were to die for. Riots in the queue if somebody pushed in and grabbed the last slice.
