weird phone calls

Question

I have been getting phone calls on my landline where there was either no one on the other side or they hung up as soon as i said hello...dialing 1919 did not reveal any number, so perhaps the calls are made from a concealed number? any ideas as to how to trace the 'stalker'?

Telesales systems now allow cold callers to dial several numbers at once. They speak to the first to answer and anyone else answering gets exactly what you describe.
Extremely common in the UK and becoming common here.
If you have 'caller display' on your phone simply ignore blocked numbers - they are always trying to sell you something that you don't want!
