Dear all,

I am a student in HR Management at the ULB (Brussels). Currently, I am writing my master’s thesis about the career management of repatriates and I am looking for Belgian repatriates who can talk to me about their experiences.

Concerning the target group, I am looking for expatriates who at some stage during their career have been sent abroad by their organizations and who are now back in Belgium from their international assignment. Testimonials of repatriates who have left their organization after their return are welcome. For my thesis, I am interested in all professional sectors, except the sector of NGO.

I am interested in getting to know how repatriation, in regards with career issues, is experienced by repatriates and how it is managed by organizations. I am also looking to interview HR managers, responsible for the management of expatriates in their organization, who would like to answer my questions and take part in this study.

The interviews will be treated strictly confidential and will only be used for the purpose of this thesis. The answers will remain anonymous. The interview might take about an hour and can be conducted in either English or French.

Please do not hesitate to contact me via my email address ( if you have experienced career repatriation. If you know others expatriates or HR managers who would be willing to help me with my thesis, I would be grateful if you could give them my contact information.

If you have any question, please feel free to contact me. Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Good luck with you research but I'm not clear how many Belgian nationals actually read these pages they are mostly for people transitioning the other way round
