Visitor walks through Yves Klein artwork at Bozar

23:19 17/08/2017

The Brussels art centre Bozar is hosting an exhibition about French artist Yves Klein, famous for using only a rich shade of ultramarine that he patented as International Klein Blue or IKB. One particular visitor to the exhibition on Wednesday will not quickly forget the colour, as he accidentally ended up with it on the bottom of his shoes.

In addition to many wall paintings, the exhibition features a centrally arranged bin filled with IKB-coloured sand. According to Bruzz, Bozar confirms that the person in question was so intrigued by a video on the wall on the other side of the room that he failed to notice the installation, and stepped right into it. Employees helped the guest immediately, even hoovering sand from the bottom of his shoes, in a scene that was captured by another visitor and promptly posted to Twitter.

The artwork was returned to its original state.
