Unizo offers business training to refugees in Brussels

12:36 11/09/2015

Members of employers' organisation Unizo on Thursday visited refugees staying in Brussels' Maximilian Park, to provide them with information on how to become independent or find work in Belgium, writes brusselnieuws.be, based on a tweet that Unizo CEO Karel Van Eetvelt (pictured) posted on Twitter. "This afternoon Unizo employees will provide the refugees in Maximilian Park with training on how to find a job or become self-employed," reads the tweet.

Unizo spokeswoman Sanderijn Vanleenhove confirmed the initiative: "We're going to set up a tent in the park from 14.00," she told brusselnieuws.be. "We will provide information - in Arabic - to the asylum seekers about the procedure to follow in order to become entrepreneurs or to get a job, should they be allowed to remain in the country.”
