Uccle man is Belgian Monopoly champion
Tran Minh from Uccle was declared Begium's Monopoly champion during the Belgian Championship on Saturday in Ghent. He will represent Belgium at the World Championships in Macau, China, from 7 to 9 September.
Manufacturer Hasbro Games hosted the championship with games distributor Bergsala Enigma in honour of the 80th anniversary of Monopoly, the property trading game that has been popular worldwide since 1935.
Minh, 34, beat 16 finalists for the chance to compete this autumn in the World Championship in Macau. The first prize for the world champion is $20,580 (€18,123).
