Trying to get rid of an old sofa set part 2!

Question

Hi

so basically I have tried just about every single charity and apparent furniture collection (for free) agency, it's a no go, few even respond

I've advertised on deuxiememain, basically it's free, no one interested

The sofa set itself is actually quite nice, it's just that the back has been damaged by a dog, but it would be fine for students or whatever. Anyone who uses it complements how comfy it is. It's located on a ground floor, easy to collect.. all that

But I just cannot get rid of it. Car is not big enough to transport it. It's in 6 pieces. I can't put it outside the house (I live in the country) and just "hope" someone takes it

I am all out of ideas

Is there anyone or a service I could pay for someone just to come and collect it?

I am in a town about 10km south of Brussels, in Vlaams Brabant

thanks for any suggestions

Check out - https://www.goldenpages.be/search/kringwinkel/Province+Of+Flemish+Braban...
You'll need to contact your nearest but Flemish gemeenten generally have a recycling centre or access to one nearby and they will collect from you free of charge.

Contact the Kringwinkel (SPIT)

https://www.dekringwinkel.be/spit

They take furniture away for free. You don't say exactly where you are but there is one in Overise and Tervuren.

If it’s damaged no one will take it it’s a fire hazard if the fabric is ripped. you could offer it on free cycle but possibly no one will come. I would contact your commune and ask how one gets large items taken to the container park.

As others have noted, contact your commune, they'll come and take it away. You may have to pay. It'll depend on the commune / how much it weighs / volume / etc. etc.
