Tree Surgeon
I have just had 1/3 of a very large cherry tree taken away by the charity 'les jeunes jardinieres'. They are not the cheapest - expect to pay around 600 euro for a large tree, but they take all the wood away brilliantly and clean up after themselves, and do an excellent job of employing staff who otherwise would find it difficult to get employment.
where in the world are you?
You always try www.plumridge.be, that's if you are in Belgium and looking for quality tree service. If you want to pay as little as possible, you can always go through the yellow pages (www.pagesdor.be) search for 'elagage' and compare prices.
This guy is very good.

We had an enourmous tree close to the house when we moved in (about 15-20 metres high) a few years ago
We asked teh neighbours for advice - A local farmer had a sideline in wood and an amazing machine that grabbed the tree at various heights and sawed through whilst holding it - so nothing would fall.
We didn't pay a penny -- he said selling the wood on would more than cover the cost of chopping the tree (he took the wood away -- leaving us with a small stock of nicely chopped branches for the fireplace)
Bear in mind that buying firewood is very expensive - you are paying twice for having a tree chopped. (as the tree surgeon will be making some cash selling the wood on). You could use that to try to negotiate the price down!
I wanted to construct a separate guest room near my home, so I had to free the space by removing the unwanted trees and shrubs. Therefore, I had to hire Centurion's leading tree fellers before starting construction work, as planned earlier. I felt that it was the right decision to click Treefelling-pretoria.com for seeking quick assistance.
