Transferring photos from google phone

Have photos on my phone and tried to transfer them to my computer via email - it gives the option to share via mail, facebook, etc. I get a mail but no attachment. Checked out some guidance on the web who said I should send the photo to some google address but not sure how to acquire this specific google address (have also tried my own gmail).

Easy solution is to rig my phone to computer but alas the led has gone walkies.
