Question

This morning there was a huge traffic jam on E40 west of Brussels going towards the ring. Where can I look up information about it, I don't want to get stuck?

go to maps.google.com and there is a selection box in the top right corner for traffic.

If you have a smartphone (android/iphone) use WAZE. It's a free app, community based, with door to door navigation. it will route you away from traffic. Actually Waze was bought by Google few months ago, and google maps is using their data to display traffic on google maps.
