Toyota recalls 26,000 cars in Belgium

The Japanese car manufacturer Toyota is recalling 26,249 of its cars in Belgium, as part of its worldwide recall of 6.4 million cars because of technical problems. In total, 27 Toyota models are affected, including the Corolla, RAV4, Hilux, Yaris, Tacoma, Urban Cruiser and Scion xD. In Belgium, more than 19,000 of the 26,000 cars for recall are Yarises. Reportedly, Yaris models built between 2005 and 2010 suffer from faulty steering wheels and seats. No deaths or injuries have been reported so far as a result of these defects.
