Three Brussels start-ups awarded half a million each
Three innovative Brussels firms have been awarded subsidies of €500,000 each as winners of the Rise Innovative Starter Prize. The prize is a awarded by Innoviris, the Brussels institute for research and innovation.
Amia Systems is a spin-off of the Free University of Brussels (ULB) and creates software to improve the performance of industrial processes. The subsidy will allow them to extend the automation of their software package, to explore new markets and to develop more efficient methods of data harvesting.
Productize was set up 18 months ago and works in the Internet of Things. “After connecting people via mobile and social media, we’re now working on connecting the physical environment of offices and cars with people and with each other,” explained founder Harold Grondel. Productize employs six engineers, a number its development plan will double.
Finally, Woorank scans its clients’ ranking in search engines on a continuous basis and provides them with tools to improve their ranking, making their digital strategy more effective. The company has a network of certified experts across the world.
