Tesla targets Belgian market
Tesla Motors, the American manufacturer of high-end electric cars, intends to expand further into Belgium. It has therefore designated a country manager, An De Pauw, who has an ambitious plan ready for the Belgian sales and service centres.
"Our network has to include all of Belgium," she told De Tijd. “In addition to the existing showrooms in Aartselaar and Brussels, we’re looking for new locations in the south of Belgium, as well as in the regions of East and West Flanders.”
Belgium is a quickly growing market for Tesla, which sold more than 700 luxury electric-powered vehicles in the country since August 2013, including 521 last year alone.
As the company’s newly appointed country manager, De Pauw intends to set up additional outlets, service centres and charging stations for electric cars.
