Tempur or Latex?
Hello - we are a couple in their early 40s. We have various back and shoulder problems and our sleeps are not as comfortable as they used to be. We have not been happy with our mattress and have finally decided make an investment into one of those very expensive mattresses. Our hope is that this will help us get rid of our body pains and allow us to rest better.
Our debate is between Tempur (memory foam) and Latex mattresses. We have been told of the pros and cons of each, but it is difficult to decide by laying on them for only 5 minutes at a store. I would be very interested in hearing your views about these kind of mattresses. Have you tried any of them? What has been your experience?
Thank you in advance!
I have the memory foam one. If you and hubby are a similar weight, fine. If not one or other will constantly be lying on a slope. If you sleep on your back it is a perfect, very comfortable mattress and always a great feeling for a tired body. If you sleep on your front then it is less comfortable and can be claustrophobic. Complaints about it being too hot I havent experienced. If you are interested I am desperate to sell mine as I sleep on my front and the size is also too big (180wide). I am also trying to get my head around choosing a new mattress - all I know after this experience is that I want a much firmer one. If interested mail me at mamcgr@yahoo.com
