Switzerland Tyre choice - July

End of July I will drive from Belgium through CH to north Italy -- I would like to avoid the motorways and drive through the passes (I know longer and slower)

However-- would I need winter tyres on the car as the passes will be higher than the motorways which tunnel through.

in a nutshell - is there standing snow on the roads through the passes in CH in July? (a question for those who visit CH often I guess -- I haven't been there for 40+ years
